1
PROPER CHARGING
For as long a life cycle of the battery as possible, return the light
to the charging base as often as possible – e.g. after each patient.
2
CLEANING
Battery contacts should be cleaned regularly to ensure that they
are capable of conducting and therefore charging properly – e.g.
by means of mandatory wipe disinfection of the light before each
use.
3
STORAGE / PRACTICE HOLIDAYS
In order to prevent premature wear, always charge the battery
and do not store batteries for longer than 6 months.
4
PROTECT FROM EXTREME TEMPERATURES
For full operational reliability, always use (and store) the battery
at room temperature or between 15 °C (59 °F) and 30 °C (86 °F).
5
REGULAR REPLACEMENT
Since the battery is a consumable, it has to be replaced if the per-
formance drops considerably or after its typical life cycle has
expired after approx. 2½ years.
6
DO NOT PURCHASE BATTERIES IN ADVANCE
In order to avoid irrevocable deep discharge if the battery is not
used, a new battery is best purchased only once the old LiPo bat-
tery needs to be replaced.
7
NO DISPLAY DURING CHARGING
Check if the handpiece has been correctly placed into the charg-
ing base. Clean battery contacts. Information: "Charging Battery"
briefly appears in the display before the display returns to the
stand-by mode.
If cleaning the battery contacts does not improve the results,
remove the battery from the apparatus. Charge the battery sepa-
rately from the handpiece in the charging base for approx.
10 minutes. If the error remains, please contact your dealer or
your local Service Center.
