Application Conditions - Vega VEGACONNECT 3 Instrucciones De Seguridad

If VEGACONNECT 3 is connected to certified intrinsically safe VEGA sensors on which in
addition on the intrinsically safe indicating circuit (terminals 5, 6, 7, 8) a VEGADIS 50EX,
certificate no. TÜV 98 ATEX 1361X is connected, the regulations for interconnection of
intrinsically safe circuits (VEGACONNECT 3 - sensor - VEGADIS 50EX) are maintained,
provided that the total inductance and total capacity of the connection cable between VEGA
sensor and VEGADIS 50EX is not exceeded by 60µH and 22 µF.
The digital indication AM10 optionally integrated in the sensor is taken into account.

The regulations for interconnection of intrinsically safe circuits are maintained when connecting
VEGACONNECT 3 to the intrinsically safe comunication circuit (socket in the connection
compartment) of certified VEGA sensors.
The safety relevant max. values of VEGACONNECT 3 and the certified VEGACONNECT 2,
conformity certificate no.Ex-97.D.2124, are identical.
Hence VEGACONNECT 3 can be connected to the intrinsically safe communication circuit of
VEGA sensors, e.g. VEGAPULS4***, VEGAPULS5***, VEGAFLEX5****, VEGASON5*** and
VEGACAP, if in the conformity certificate resp. EC type approval certificate the connection of
VEGACONECT 2 to the communication circuit is certified.
