DANGER! Risk of electric shock
The following safety instructions apply to the connected charging station.
Check the appliance and the connecting cable regularly for damage. Do not
use the appliance if the appliance or the connecting cable has any visible
damage, or if the appliance has previously been dropped.
Only connect the power supply unit to a properly installed and easily accessi-
ble power socket, whose voltage corresponds to the specifications on the
type plate. The power socket must continue to be easily accessible after the
appliance is plugged in.
Lay the connecting cable such that no one can step on it, get caught on it, or
trip over it.
Please be careful not to damage the connecting cable:
– Keep the connecting cable away from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
– Ensure that the connecting cable cannot be trapped or crushed.
– Do not wrap the connecting cable around the appliance. The cable may
break.
To pull the power supply unit out of the power socket, always pull on the
power supply unit, and never on the connecting cable.

– after every use,
– after each charging process,
– if there is a fault,
– before you clean the appliance and
– during thunderstorms.
Ensure that the power supply unit cannot be plugged in again during clean-
ing.

To avoid any hazard, do not make modifications to the appliance. You also
must not replace the connecting cable yourself. Repairs must be carried out
exclusively by your authorised customer service centre.
Use only the original mains plug adapters.
Use only original spare parts, which you can order from the customer service
centre (see the back of these user instructions). If the connecting cable is
damaged or crushed, it and the plug-in power supply device need to be com-
pletely replaced.
DANGER from batteries
Protect the battery against mechanical damage. Fire hazard!
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunshine or heat. The ambient temper-
ature should not be lower than -10 °C or higher than +40 °C.
The charge contacts on the appliance must not be connected by metallic
objects.
Charge the appliance's built-in battery exclusively using the original acces-
sory parts.
The appliance must only be operated with the original power supply unit
T10.
If the electrolyte solution leaks out of the battery, avoid contact with eyes,
mucous membranes and skin. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water
and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can cause irritation.
Only model OT14: the appliance contains a lithium ion battery.
Models OT10 / OT11 / OT11B: the appliance contains a NiMH battery.
– The battery cannot be removed!
– This appliance must not be opened!
– The appliance must be disposed of properly with the battery installed.
