Preparation
2.1
Removing the sticker from the cutter head
The sticker above the mounting screw 16 shows you whether you can remove
the cutter head without a tool. Remove this sticker before using the appliance for
the first time.

Changing the mains plug adapter
The appliance is supplied with a mains plug adapter 10. Other mains plug adapt-
ers can be ordered from the customer service centre (see service address on the
back of these user instructions).
DANGER!
Use only the original mains plug adapters 10.
Pull the power supply unit 8 out of the power socket before you change the
mains plug adapter 10.
Ensure that the power supply unit 8 cannot be plugged in again during
cleaning.
NOTE: ensure that you do not bend the small pins on the power supply unit 8.

Charging process

The appliance is not yet ready for operation when delivered.
Before you plug the trimmer into the power socket, check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage specified on the type plate.
Before first use, the appliance should be charged for 2 hours.
"Overcharging" the appliance is not possible.
DANGER!
Before plugging in the plug-in power supply device 8, check that the voltage
of the power socket corresponds to the specifications on the type plate.
– Insert the plug-in power supply device 8 into a power socket.
– Place the charging station 2 on a level surface.
– Ensure that the on/off switch 4 is set to 0 during charging.
– Place the appliance into the charging station. It positions itself automatically
and starts charging. The green charge status display 3 flashes during the
charging process. When the battery is fully charged, the charge status display
will be lit continuously.
