Problem
Coffee doesn't come out
Coffee comes out around the edges
of the filter holder
Milk not foamy or not coming out of
the froth tube
Coffee comes out too quickly
Coffee is too weak
Button lights flash alternately
The three button lights are not lit up

Possible Cause
Unit not switched on
No water in the tank
Coffee grind is too fine
Coffee tamped too firmly
Filter holder not rotated fully to the
locked position
Coffee fouling edges of filter holder
Too much coffee in filter holder
Unit out of steam
Milk is not cold enough
Froth tube is blocked
Coffee grind is too coarse
Not enough coffee in filter holder
Using the single shot filter for a
double shot of Espresso
Coffee grind is too coarse
Water tank is empty
The milk tank is not fully fitted
Solution
Switch the unit on
Refill the water tank
Regrind to correct consistency
Empty then refill the filter. Use a lighter
tamping action
Fully rotate to the locked position
Wipe off excess coffee
Refill with less coffee
Refill the water tank
Chill milk properly. For the best results,
chill the milk tank as well.
Follow the instructions to clean the froth
tube
Use a finer grind
Use more coffee
Use the double shot filter
Use a finer grind
Refill the water tank
The milk tank is a tight fit and you will
have to hold the main unit in order to
apply sufficent force to push it all the way
in. The Cappuccino button and Latte
button lights will only come on when the
milk tank is correctly fitted.
