Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the thermometer may re-
sult in damage to the thermometer.
− Only use batteries of the type LR41, SR41, or
UCC392 (1,5 V DC) and make sure that the
battery is inserted with the correct polarity
(+/–).
− Remove the battery from the thermo-
meter when it will not be used for a longer
period of time in order to prevent damage
from a dead or leaking battery.
− Do not modify, take apart, repair, or
change any parts of the thermometer.
− Avoid abusive and non-temperature-
measuring applications.
− Do not use accessories from other devices.
− During use, the thermometer may affect
the use of other electronic devices or be
affected by them. Do not use the ther-
mometer near other electronic devices.
− Do not drop, shake, or hit the thermometer.
− Do not submerge the thermometer in
water or any other liquids.
− Do not place the thermometer in direct
sunlight or extreme high or low tempera-
tures (14 °F – 131 °F or -10 °C – 55 °C).
