Changing the battery
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the electronics unit may
damage and even destroy the thermometer.
− Only slide out the electronics unit just
enough to remove the battery, making
sure to do so slowly and gently.
The battery in the thermometer needs to be
replaced when the battery low symbol
appears in the lower right hand corner of the
LCD-display
ceed as follows:
1. Slide the battery cap

2. Slowly and gently pull out the electronics

3. Remove the battery using a non-metal
tool (see fig. E, step 2).
4. Insert a new battery (1.5 V: LR41, SR41, or
UCC392), making sure that the polarity
(+/–) is correct.
5. Gently slide the electronics unit back into
the thermometer (see fig. E, step 3).
6. Replace the battery cap.
