Installing the device drivers
This section contains instructions for installing device drivers for the NVIDIA
Graphics Adapter. These instructions are for installing the device drivers with
®
Microsoft
Windows
Microsoft Windows NT
Edition (Me). Refer to the section on the operating system that you use.
Installing the device drivers for Windows 95
If you use Windows 95, follow these instructions to install your device drivers:
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Click the Start button, then click Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Display, and then select Settings.
4. Click Advanced Properties, then select Adapter, and then click Change.
5. Select Show all devices.
6. Select the Standard display types from the Manufacturers list.
7. Select Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) from the list, then click
OK.
8. Click Apply, Click OK, and then click Apply.
9. Shut down the operating system and turn off the computer.
10. Remove the previous graphics adapter and insert the new one.
11. When Windows 95 restarts, click Start, click Settings, and then click
Control Panel.
12. Double-click Display, and then click the Settings tab.
13. Click Advanced Properties, click the Adapter tab, and then click Change.
14. Insert the CD. Click Have Disk, select or type the path to the device
driver files on CD, and then click OK.
Note: If Windows cannot find the files for the NVIDIA Graphics Adapter,
make sure the path for the CD-ROM is correct and the correct CD
is inserted.
15. Select the operating system you are using from the CD. When Windows
finds the files, click OK. Windows copies the files to the hard disk.
16. Click Apply, click OK, and then click Apply.
17. Click Yes to restart the computer.
Installing the device drivers for Windows 98
If you use Windows 98, follow these instructions to install your device drivers:
1. Start Windows 98.
2. Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Display, and then click the Settings tab.
4. Click Advanced, click the Adapter tab, and then click Change.
5. Click Next, click Display a list of all the drivers, and then click Next.
6. Click Show all hardware.
7. From the Manufacturer's list, select Standard display types.
