containing the yellow wire in between the vehicle
connectors. Ensure that the connectors are fully inserted
with locking tabs in place.
7. Using a utility knife, carefully slit the grommet
remvoed in step 3 as indicated (fig. 4) from the hole for
the tail light wiring harness to the outside edge of the
grommet. Carefully cut away the tabs that connect the grommet to the
wires.
Caution: Take care not to damage the vehicle wiring harness
while cutting the grommet.
8. Position the left (drivers) side rubber grommet over the T-
Connector harness and vehicle wiring. Carefully position all the wiring
inside the vehicle behind the grommet. Seat the grommet into its
mounting hole.
9. Route the T-Connector ends containing the green wire from behind the
interior trim panel, under the threshold cover to the passenger's side and out
into the taillight area throught the exposed grommet hole.
10. Repeat steps 6-8 for the passenger's side using the T-Connector
ends containing the green wire.
11. Locate a clean accessible mounting
location on the vehicle near the wiring
harness ends within reach of the white
wire and grounding eyelet and drill a 7/64"
hole.
Caution: Take care not to drill
through the body or any exposed surface.
12. Mount the white wire using the ground
screw and eyelet provided.
13. Remove the foam liner surrounding
the left side of the spare tire (Fig. 5). There
will be a grommet under the liner near the
rear bumper structure (Fig. 6).
