Safety
1.1
Warnings and notes
Warning notes are identified by a signal word and a pictogram:

The signal word describes the severity and the probability of the impending danger.
•
The pictogram describes the type of danger.
WARNING!
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
If this warning is not observed, death or serious injury may occur.
CAUTION!
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury or
property and environmental damage. If this warning is not observed, injuries, property or environmental
damage may occur.
This sign warns of a possibly damaging situation.
ATTENTION!
If the note is not adhered to, the product or parts of it may be damaged.
NOTE
General notes
include parameter set tips and useful information but no hazard warnings.
1.2
Basic requirements for safe working practices
Before using the battery for the first time, ensure that you have carefully read and understood the instruction
manual. Failure to observe the instructions listed below can result in fire and serious injuries.
CAUTION!
Electrical safety
Do not open the battery. Risk of explosion and fire by short circuit.
Do not modify the battery structurally.
Protect the battery from moisture.
Do not operate the battery in the open air.
Never operate the battery under unsuitable ambient conditions (i.e. where combustible gases, solvents,
dust, vapors or moisture is present).
Do not operate the battery if the housing or contacts are damaged.
Follow the safety instructions printed on the battery and charger.
Work area
Ensure that there is enough space in the work area.
Keep the work area clean and dry.
