Taking the installation instructions
into account, the following applies:
• Recommended mounting height
approx. 1.60 m to display height/
viewing height (depending on the
local/on-site requirements/condi-
tions).
• STE 10-... must be fitted such that
it is accessible for servicing purposes.
3 Visual inspection of the mounting
frame (d) and the protective rail (e)
of the STE 10-... and the welded
studs on the mounting plate (x).
4 Cut the sealing strips to length:
1x 268 mm, 2x 176 mm, 1x 240 mm
5 Stick the sealing strips to the rear
of the mounting plate, maintain a
distance of approx. 1–2 mm from
the cut-out edge, ideally adhere
the sealing ends as butt joints. The
sealing strips will later be used as
a support for the glass side of the
display.
6 Position the mounting frame with
STE 10-... on the mounting plate
and secure with M3x8 nuts. Tighten
the nuts in a diagonal sequence.
7 Clip the protective rail onto the
STE 10-... mounting frame.For ver-
tical integration, the protective rail
must be shortened to the correct
length at the separation line.
8 Assess the mounting of the display
unit from the front. The edge of the
display should be consistent with the
cut-out edge of the mounting plate.
If it is not, release the frame again if
necessary and correct.
During installation, if necessary,
the Vario bus addresses must be
changed using the rotary switch and
other functions must be activated via
DIL switch on the SKI 700-...
9 Address setting (Vario bus)
If more than one door station with
a ST(E) 10-..., DRM 612-... and/or
COM 611-... is installed in a Vario
bus line, then each of these devices
must receive its own Vario bus
address.
The address is set for STE 10-... via
the SKI 700-...
The address can be set from 1 to 8
and may only be used once in any
one system.
DIL
Function
switch
1
Default / OFF: Evaluation
of the E/G input via
Siedle Touch built-in
ON: Evaluation of
the E/G input via Vario
bus (e.g. for external
door release buttons)
2
ON: Parallel operation
with a ZAM 670-...
3
No function
4
No function
DIL switch 1: Evaluation of the
E/G input (external message)
Sensors, etc. can be connected to
the E/G input so that an action can
be triggered on the Siedle Touch.
The action can be set using the con-
figuration software (e.g. call users
via external button).
If the E/G input is to be used by
STE 10-..., then DIL switch 1 on
the SKI 700-... must be set to OFF
(default).
If an external door release button is
to be connected to the E/G input,
for example, then DIL switch 1 must
be set to ON.
DIL switch 2: Parallel operation
with ZAM 670-... on one door
The status information (call, speech,
door released) is evaluated by the
SKI 700-... and output on the
STE 10-...
If an STE 10-... and a ZAM 670-...
status display module are to be con-
nected to the same door, parallel
operation must be activated via a DIL
switch (DIL switch 2 set to ON) on
the SKI 700-... Otherwise, the status
information cannot be signalled
correctly.
Installation: In-Home bus
10 In-Home bus wiring diagram
Notes on the wiring diagram:
a) A network cable must be laid
without fail from the door station to
the distributor for configuration.
b) The SKI 700-... is connected
to a BTLE 051-... ES7007 or
BTLM 651-... using a ribbon cable.
The ribbon cable included in the
scope of supply is approx. 50 cm
long. Longer cables are available
upon request.
c) Terminals E and G can be option-
ally used for integrating buttons or
actuators provided by the customer
for expanding the function of the
STE 10-... (e.g. additional door
release button within the building or
external movement sensor modules
for motion-controlled activation of
the control panel).
d) Terminal b must also be con-
nected on the BTLM 651-... door
loudspeaker module. Observe the
connection information in the
BTLM 651-... product information.
