Read this manual carefully and check the parts list for completeness before you begin. We recommend that you have
Parts List:
1x Windscreen
2x M 6 x 16 mm screws
2x M 6 X 25 mm screws
2x Stainless washer / neoprene
2x 5 mm plastic washers
2x 6 mm plastic washers
1. Remove the original windshield after unscrewing the four screws. These fixing
points must be present. If this is not the case, order original components from your
BMW dealer (see photo).
2. Dismantle the small fixing points (if available) on the left and right sides (see
photo).
3. Unscrew the screws on the left and right sides (see photo) and thus pivot and
tighten the enclosed special screws with accessory parts.
4. Install the new front screen with the original screws and the enclosed plastic
washers and secure at the sides with the M 6 screws and washers as shown in the
sketch / photo.
5. Apply the edge protector to the rear surface of the windshield. The collets should
be placed on the ends and should be squeezed together gently, so that the edge
protector is firmly attached to the windshield.
After installation, check that all of the screws are tight; tighten them up if necessary. Repeat this at regular intervals.
Clean the screen with water, neutral soap and a sponge. Do not use solvents, alcohol or spirits to clean the screen as
