Install the Everest 400 printer driver
The Everest 400 printer driver installs automatically.


Note:If the New Hardware Wizard displays, follow the prompts to
complete the Wizard and install the Everest 400 printer driver.

Set up the Everest 400 printer
-

Important! The ribbon carriers cannot be
removed from the printer unless the system is
powered on.


Note:For more detailed instructions on
replacing print and retransfer ribbons, refer
to the Rimage Professional 3400 and 5400N
User Guide.
a.
Pull up on the printercoverlatch.
b. Lower the printercoverto expose the ribbon carriers.
c.
Remove the RibbonCarriers.
i.
Turn the centerlatch counterclockewise to unlock it.
ii.
Pull the printribboncarrier orretransferribboncarrier to remove it
from the printer.

Install or replace the print ribbons
a.
Lay theprintribboncarrieron
its back.

b. Remove theusedprintribbon (if needed).
i.
Pull up on supplyrolland takeuproll.
ii.
Remove the ribbon from the carrier.

d. Lay the printribboncarrierback on its side.
e. Return the printribboncarrierto the printer.

Install or replace the retransfer ribbon
a.
b. On first use, remove thepackaging from the retransfer ribbon carrier.

i.
With the supply roll on the right
side, and the takeup roll on the left
side, unroll a few inchesofribbon.
ii.
Place the printribboncarrier on
top of the exposed ribbon.
iii. Place thesupplyroll on the carrier
and push down to snap it into place.
iv. Place thetakeuproll on the carrier and
push down to snap it into place.
Turn the centerlatch clockwise to secure it.
Close the printercover.
Remove the retransferribboncarrier from the autoloader.
i.
Remove the tape
and plasticbrace
from the front of the
carrier.
ii.
Remove tapeand
plasticpackaging
Tapeand
PlasticBrace
from around the
outside of the
carrier.
Remove the usedretransferribbon
SupplyRoll
fromtheretransferribboncarrier (if
needed).
i.
Pull up on the supplyrolland the 
takeuproll.
ii.
Remove the ribbon from the
carrier.
i.
With the supply roll on the left side, and the takeup roll on the
right side, unroll a fewinchesof
ribbon.

ii.
Place theretransferribboncarrier
on top of the exposed ribbon.
iii. Place thesupplyroll on the carrier
and push down to snap it into
place.
iv. Place thetakeuprollon the
carrier and push down to snap it into place.
Return theretransferribboncarrierto the autoloader.
Turn thecenterlatchclockwise to secure the carrier.
Close theprintercover.
