Open and release the 17-pin socket housing from radio connector X18126.
Unplug existing 1-pin socket contact (32) from plug-in slot PIN5, violet/white wire, from black 17-pin socket housing
of radio connector X18126.
Connect unplugged 1-pin socket contact (32), violet/white wire, to supplied black 1-pin socket housing (4).
Connect branch E2, 1-pin socket contact, violet/white wire, from auxiliary cable TEL EIN E to black 17-pin socket
housing of radio connector X18126 at plug-in slot PIN5.
Lock and close the 17-pin socket housing from radio connector X18126.
Connect black 1-pin socket housing (4) with plugged-in 1-pin socket contact (32), violet/white wire, from black 17-pin
socket housing of radio connector X18126 to branch E1, 1-pin pin contact with black housing, yellow/red wire,
from auxiliary cable TEL EIN E.
The different wire colours relate to the system and have no influence on operation.

Slightly loosen general module (33) behind glovebox and disconnect black 15-pin socket housing from general
module plug connector X13252.
Open and release the 15-pin socket housing from general module plug connector X13252.
Unplug existing 1-pin socket contact (34) from plug-in slot PIN10, red/green/yellow wire from black 15-pin socket
housing of general module plug connector X13252.
Connect unplugged 1-pin socket contact (34), red/green/yellow wire, to supplied black 1-pin socket housing (4).
Connect branch D2, 1-pin socket contact, red/white wire, from auxiliary wiring harness for power supply D to black
15-pin socket housing from general module plug connector X13252 at plug-in slot PIN10.
Close the 15-pin socket housing from general module plug connector X13252 again and connect to general
module (33).
Reinstall general module (33) behind glovebox.
Now connect black 1-pin socket housing (4) with plugged-in 1-pin socket contact (34), red/green/yellow wire,
from black 15-pin socket housing of general module plug connector X13252 to branch D3, 1-pin pin contact with
black housing, red/white wire, from auxiliary cable for power supply D.

With the aid of a water-soluble pen, mark holes (35) on mounting bracket for interface box (13) and mark with
centre punch.
Dimension A = 55 mm
Dimension B = 89 mm
Dimension C = 20 mm
Drill holes (35) to 4.5 mm dia. and deburr.
Shorten edge protective strip (24) to length of 150 mm and 80 mm and fit on mounting bracket for interface box (13).

socket countersunk head screws (17), two 4.3x12 washers (19) and two M4 hexagon nuts (18).
Fit interface box (7) on base plate for interface box (8).

Plug branch B4, 2-pin 3.5 mm dia. jack plug, green/violet wire, from adapter lead for interface box B into chrome-
plated 3.5 mm dia. socket housing (39) at interface box (7).
