Application Possibilities under Different Situation Positions
The following possible applications only take place after the RsqTec COCOON has been successfully set up and
the belts have been correctly fitted to the person (see Chapters 6 and 7).
The attachment point for all positions must lie above the user and guarantee a minimum load carrying
capacity of 10 kN.
Horizontal lifting and transport of the person with the RsqTec COCOON.
(i)
2x Delta lock ring with black shackle (10-point suspension).
The two Delta lock rings (10-point suspension) ((j) from Chapter 5.1) are taken out of their side pannier and
attached to the connection device of the lifting gear.
The injured person is lifted with the aid of a suitable hoist, whereby the horizontal position of the person must be
constantly checked and, if necessary, be corrected by changing the lying position of the person.
Vertical or inclined lifting of the person with the RsqTec COCOON
Note: In order to prevent injury to the person, the person must only be lifted in the vertical position for a short time (for a few
minutes).
(i)
Connect the suspension loop (k) with one carrying strap pair (i).
The connection device of the lifting gear is attached to the suspension loop (k) which is connected with two snap
hooks to a carrying strap pair ((i) from Chapter 5.1). Which of the carrying strap pairs is selected in conjunction
with the suspension loop (k) is dependent on the respective application and rescue case.
During this process, special attention must be paid so that no excessive pressures occur for the person. Where
necessary, the position of the relevant belt must be checked.
Vertical transport of the person with the RsqTec COCOON
Note: In order to prevent injury to the person, the person must only be lifted in the vertical position for a short time (for a few
minutes).
(i)
Connect the suspension loop (k) with the head loops green and red (l).
The connection device of the lifting gear is attached to the suspension loop (k) which is connected with two snap
hooks to the head loops green and red ((l) from Chapter 5.1). In order to be able to transport the injured person
in a vertical position with the aid of a suitable lifting device, the green and red head loops must be located outside
the protective tray and passed through the openings provided for this purpose.
