MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is an essential to the safe and
efficient operation of the appliance and en-
sures a long service life. It should be per-
formed in accordance with the instructions
set out by current legislation.
WARNING!
Before doing any maintenance work, close
the gas supply cock and the domestic water
circuit cock.
We recommend you make the following
checks on the water heater at least once a
year
1. Check for water leaks.
2. Check for gas leaks and replace gaskets
as necessary.
3. Inspect the overall condition of the water
heater and the combustion.
4. Inspect the combustion chamber and
clean the burner if necessary.
5. Following checks 3 and 4, remove and
clean the nozzle if necessary.
6. Adjust for correct gas fl owrate.
7. Check operation of the water safety devic-
es (temperature and pressure limits).
8. Check for correct operation of gas safety
systems (gas or fl ame failure, gas valve
etc)
9. Check that the room is correctly ventilated.
10. Check that the combustion products (flue
gas) are exhausted correctly.

NB: during this cleaning operation the inside
water tank must not suff er any blows that
could damage the internal protective lining.
Information for the user
Inform the user on how to operate the appli-
ance.
In particular, provide the user with the instruc-
tion manual and inform him/her that it must be
stored with the appliance.
Moreover, make sure the user is aware of the
following:
- How to set the temperature and adjust-
ment devices for using the appliance cor-
rectly and in a more cost-efficient way.
- The system must be serviced regularly in
compliance with the law.
- The settings relating to the supply of com-
bustion air and combustion gas must not in
any event be modified.
