Donning/Customizing
Instructions
Step 1:
Measure the circumference
around the mid-palm in
centimetre. (1)
Step 2:
Identify the corresponding
measurement mark on the hand
wrap. Cut along the indicated
white cut lines. (2)
Step 3:
Identify which hand you want to
put the hand wrap on, then
identify the corresponding side of
the hand wrap. Apply the small
piece of black hook tab to the
palm portion of the hand wrap,
placing it securely inside the
indicated rectangle outline.
• If the patient is wearing the
hand wrap on the left hand,
apply the hook tab to the side
that says "LEFT PALM." (3a)
• If the patient is wearing the
hand wrap on the right hand,
apply the hook tab to the side
that says "RIGHT PALM." (3b)
Note:
Apply the black hook tab so that
the side with longer, stronger,
more pronounced hooks and
rougher feel is applied directly to
the hand wrap. The smooth side
with less pronounced hooks
should face outwards. (3c-d) This
ensures that the hook tab will stay
firmly secured to the hand wrap
throughout wearing.
Step 4:
Instruct the patient to slide the
thumb through the thumbhole.
The black hook tab should not
touch the skin, and you should be
able to read "RIGHT SIDE FACE
OUT" or "LEFT SIDE FACE OUT",
depending on which hand the
hand wrap is applied worn on.
