To charge batteries
For recharging NiMH batteries (not
included) you will be required to use
an external AC/DC charger. It is not
possible to charge batteries while
they are inserted in the radio.
Automatic energy saving circuit
The radio transceiver has a built in
power saver circuit for maximum
battery life. It switches automatically
to power save mode during longer
receiving periods without incoming
signals.
When the radio is not being used,
You should conserve battery power
by pressing the
Remove the batteries if the unit will
not be used for a longer period of
time. Forgotten batteries may be
discharged within some months in the
battery compartment, leakage may
occur which can destroy batteries,
contact
sensitive electronic circuit in the radio.
Press the PTT button when
You want to communicate
with stations on the active
channel. This will immediately
stop further scanning.
