Correct use

The IN3000 Direct series safety switches may only be
used within the meaning of section 2.2 "Applications
of the safety switches". The safety switches are only
allowed to be installed by qualified safety personnel
and are only allowed to be used on the machine on
which they have been installed and initialized by qualified
safety personnel as per these operating instructions.
All warranty claims against SICK AG are forfeited in
the case of any other use, or alterations being made to
devices, even as part of their mounting or installation.
2.4 General safety notes and protective
measures
The IN3000 Direct inductive safety switch provides a
protection function for persons. Incorrect installation
or manipulation can result in serious injuries.
The IN3000 Direct safety switch complies with the
following safety requirements. These are application
dependent:
 up to Category 2/Performance Level d as per
EN ISO 13849-1,
 up to SIL2 as per IEC 61508,
 up to SILCL2 as per IEC 62061.
Note on the classification of the device according to
EN 60947-5-2:
 The IN30-E0407K safety switch corresponds to
classification I2A12SP2 for non-flush mounting.
 The IN30-E0305K safety switch corresponds to
classification I2A18SP2 for non-flush mounting.
 The IN30-E0306K safety switch corresponds to
classification I1A18SP2 for flush mounting.
 The IN30-E0208K safety switch corresponds to
classification I2A30SP2 for non-flush mounting.
