5.1 Configuration of your CHDDLANU
The CHDDLANU is configured to obtain an IP address from a local DHCP server (router, etc.) automatically.
With an automatic obtained IP address, the CHDDLANU will be in the correct network subnet.
In case you want to change the IP address to a fixed IP address, or change other settings of the
CHDDLANU, right-click the CHDDLANU adapter in the software and select "Setting".
The settings menu of the CHDDLANU adapter will appear:
You can change the following settings in the 'Server Setting' menu:
Server Name
DHCP
Backup Firmware
Update Firmware
Change Password
Change the Server Name. Click "Set" to save the new name.
Enable or disable the DHCP client function.
- When the checkbox is checked, the CHDDLANU will try to obtain an IP address
from your local DHCP server automatically.
- If the checkbox is not checked, you can enter the preferred IP address and
subnet mask manually. Click "Set" to save the changes.
Make a backup of the firmware which is currently in use by the CHDDLANU.
Update the firmware of the CHDDLANU.
Add / change the configuration password for the CHDDLANU. By default, no
configuration password has been set for the CHDDLANU.
If a password has been set, you will be asked to enter the password before you can
enter the server settings.
