OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The electrical installation and use of the appliance must comply with the standards in force in your
country.
Before first use, ensure that the voltage, frequency and power of your appliance are suitable for
your electrical supply.
Your appliance can function using an earthed plug. It is a class I product.
Before switching on the appliance, please ensure:
• the feet of the appliance are properly attached (see fig. 4, 5, 6);
• the air inlet and outlet screens are completely unobstructed;
• the appliance is placed on a stable, flat surface, and on its feet;
• the tubes of the 'radiant' part are not cracked or broken.
In the event of prolonged absence: stop and unplug the appliance.
NB: In the event abnormal heating, an automatic safety device turns the appliance off and then
turns it on again when it has cooled down.
If the fault persists or gets worse, a thermal cut-off fuse will stop the appliance from functioning
completely; it must then be taken to an approved service centre.
If the appliance tips over, a safety system automatically turns off the appliance. Place the appliance
in a vertical position and turn it back on.
USING THE APPLIANCE IN A BATHROOM (protection
against splashing with water)
This 'IP21' appliance has been constructed to be used in all rooms in the house, including those
were there is a potential risk of vertical splashing with water (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.)
In France, the NFC15100 standard establishes the safety regulations regarding installation. They
set out 4 volumes in the bathroom.
This appliance must only be installed in 'volume 3' (see French version of the diagram) of the room,
in order that the buttons on the control panel cannot be reached by a person in the bath or shower.
The installation and use of the appliance must comply, with the standards in force in your country.
