Mode of Operation

Built-in device 6955 EB-102-500 is provided with electronic
short-circuit and overload protection. Consequently, the
conventional fuse protection for dimmers is not required.
The interference suppression choke formerly employed
has been replaced by a novel electronic interference
suppressor. As a result, this dimmer actuator is "low-noise".
When the electronic overload protection is activated
(overload or over-temperature due to incorrect installation),
the set luminosity of the lighting unit is reduced. After
elimination of the overload, the original luminosity is
automatically re-set. In this case, the loading of built-in
device 6955 EB-102-500 should be checked and, if
necessary, reduced.
In the case of a brief short-circuit (<4 seconds), the device
switches off and automatically on again. In the case of a
sustained short-circuit, the device switches off completely.
The device is again ready for operation after elimination of
the cause of the short-circuit.
Built-in device 6955 EB-102-500 checks the characteristics
of the connected (operational) load.
