Introduction
The 52 60 is a silver electrode for argento-
metric titrations.
Electrode preparation
Remove the storage protector containing
electrolyte by unscrewing it
Remove the cap from the filling port
Measurements. Recommendations
• The sample must cover the electrode's dia-
phragms
• After measurement, clean the electrode
with distilled water.
Maintenance
• Periodically refi ll the electrode with elec-
trolyte. Maintain the level as high as
possible
• Diaphragm cleaning: use the diaphragm
cleaning solution, code 96 10.
• Indicator metal cleaning: can be ribbed
with soft abrasive, for example tooth
paste.
Troubleshooting
... the reading is always the same.
Short circuit in the electrode or connector.
Substitute the electrode.
... unstable reading.
Broken cable.
Substitute the cable.
... very slow response.
Dirt on the diaphragm or the silver ring.
Reference system worn out.
Clean, regenerate or substitute the
electrode.
Storage
The connector should be protected from hu-
midity by the protective cap
Place the electrode in the storage protector
with appropriate electrolyte KNO
Close the refilling port with the stopper
Life of an electrode
