PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
BATTERY CHARGING
The cordless pruning shears are supplied with partially charged battery.
Charge the battery in ambient temperature between 4°C and 40°C.
Battery that has not been used for a long time will reach full efficiency
after approximately 3–5 charge/discharge cycles.
• Insert the charger cord plug into the socket for charger (8) located in
the device casing (fig. B).
• Connect the charger to mains socket 230 VAC.
• LED (9) will light up red.
When the charger is connected to the tool and plugged to mains
network, LED indicator (9) (fig. B) shows charging progress.
• LED indicator (9) lit in red – power supply on, charging in progress.
• LED indicator (9) lit in green – power supply on, battery fully charged,
charging process can be finished.
LED (9) (fig. B) will stay on green until the charger is disconnected from
the mains socket. After discharge a minimum 4–5 hours of recharge is
required to reach the full battery level. Normal use allows for multiple
charge cycles of the battery. To maintain the device in good condition
recharge its battery at least once per six months.
Do not charge the battery for more than 8 hours. Exceeding this
time limit may cause damage to battery cells.
Batteries heat up very strongly during charging process. Do not
work just after charging has been finished, wait until the battery
cools down to room temperature. It will prevent battery damage.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
Check the blades before using the cordless pruning shears. Do not
use blades with dents, cracks or other damages.
Never overload the device. Follow instructions regarding maximum
cutting thickness as specified in technical parameters table.
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
The cordless pruning shears are one hand operated tool. Keep the
other hand away from blades when operating the device.
The cordless pruning shears feature double protection against
unintentional start up. The main protection is the safety switch (1),
additional protection is the blade unlock button (2) (fig. A).
• Remove the blade cover (4) (fig. A).
• Move the safety switch (1) from OFF to ON position.
• Slide the blade unlock button (2) towards back of the device and hold
– moving blade will open. The device is ready for cutting.
• Place the cordless pruning shears so the blades are around a branch
or a sprout.
• While holding the blade unlock button (2), press the switch (3) – the
moving blade will start closing and perform a cut.
• After releasing the switch (3) with the blade unlock button (2) still
pressed, moving blade will open again and the pruning shears will be
ready for the next cut.
To finish work with the cordless pruning shears:
• Close the moving blade – press and hold the blade unlock button (2)
and press the switch (3) (fig. A).

• Release the blade unlock button (2) and then release the switch (3) –
the moving blade (5) will stay in closed position.
• Move the safety switch (1) to OFF position.
• Put on the blade cover (4).
CUTTING OF BRANCHES AND SPROUTS
• Use of protective glasses and protective gloves will provide safety
when cutting.
• It is recommended to make maintenance cutting of trees and
bushes at a slight angle, not perpendicular. Cut from a bud
towards main branch or trunk.
• Make cuts approx. 8 mm above buds.
• Do not make cuts too close to trunk, so the spot can heal easier.
• Cut branches one at a time.
• Before starting a cut, inner edge of the fixed blade (6) (fig. A)
should rest against a branch or sprout at proper cutting angle.
• Consult gardening handbooks to find out the best time for
maintenance cuts for specific trees and bushes.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Before starting any activities related to installation, adjustment,
repair or maintenance, disconnect charger from the tool and from
mains network, make sure the safety switch (1) (fig. A) is in the OFF
position.
• Cleaning the device after each use is recommended.
• Do not use water or other liquids for cleaning the device, as they can
damage plastic parts.
• Clean the tool with dry cloth.
• Use protective gloves and be careful when cleaning blades in working
section of the tool.
• Blades allow for cleaning and maintenance with penetrating and
lubricating agents.
• The tool allows for safe storage and carrying only with closed moving
blade, with the safety switch in OFF position and the blade cover on.
• Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
REPLACEMENT OF MOVING BLADE
The moving blade (5) wears off as a working part, which may have
impact on cutting quality. To replace the part:
• Use 5 mm hex key to loosen and remove the blade fixing screw (7) (fig.
C), notice centring sleeve seated on it.
• Slide blunt, worn out or damaged moving blade (5) (fig. D) out of the
tool.
• Slide in new moving blade (5) (fig. D).
• Install blade fixing screw (7) (fig. D), notice centring sleeve seated on
it.
It is not necessary to preserve position of the moving blade (5) during
installation exactly as it was before replacement. The moving blade (5)
will automatically readjust to correct position at first opening after the
cordless pruning shears are used again.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.
