PRIOR TO FITTING
1. Check that all the parts shown are included in the Kit.
2. Check the condition of each individual part.
3. Park the vehicle in a stable manner.
4. Take the key out of the ignition.
5. Protect all parts removed from the vehicle.
6. Be careful not to damage any vehicle parts during fitting.
The condition to assemble parts is technical experience.
If you not sure if you do a special work step, you should ask your next SUZUKI dealer.
STEP-BY-STEP FITTING GUIDE
The original wiring harness is equipped with two connectors.
They are dedicated for Alarm System. The features of these two connectors are;
one-way connector and four ways connector with plastic cover.
Foto 1: Clean the siren unit and stick one double tape adhesive, cut the second double tape adhesive
in order to have a rectangular shape to stick on the lateral side of the unit.
Fit the main connector into the alarm control unit, insert the rubber hood its housing (1) and secure it
using a cable grip (2).
Specification of connectors; (3) LED connector, (4) connectors for indicator's light, (5) connectors for
Alarm system.
Foto 2: Remove the main saddle (A) and the passenger seat (B).
Foto 3: Remove the side covers by pulling them out of the rubber bushings. Dismount the middle cover
by removing the 4 pins (C) and take it away. Now dismount the 4 screws (D) and disconnect the seat
lock cable (E). Take away the rear cowling.
Foto 4: Fix the alarm unit, with double tape adhesive, under the seat (F) as show on the picture. Lay the
alarm wiring loom in front direction and fix it on the frame with plastic cable (G).
Foto 5: Make the electrical connexion for alarm unit with the alarm connector predisposal(H), and connect
also the six ways connector for indicator light (I).
Foto 6: Fix the LED as show on the picture (L), and connect it to the alarm-wiring loom with two-way
connector (M).
Remount all before dismounted parts and make sure that all screws are tightened.
HOW TO ENABLE THE ALARM SYSTEM
Enabling the alarm system
The alarm must be initiated to make it operational. To do this, turn the ignition key OFF-ON-OFF.
The alarm system's LED (Photographs 6) will now flash, indicating how many remote controls have been
paired up to the system by flashing the appropriate number of times (two are supplied as standard).
The system is now operational. Please refer to the user manual, supplied with the Alarm Kit item code
990D0 – Alarm – 000 for further details and specifications.
