Make sure that the cable is neatly guided along the inside of
the table top edges, leaving sufficient length of cable for the
motor frame assembly to be tilted to the maximum angle.
Mounting the rails (fig. K1 - K3)
Required hardware parts: 3 nuts (23), 5 coach bolts (29), 5 compression
springs (49), 2 clamp knobs (50) (fig K1).
• Turn the machine straight up.
• Firmly tighten all fasteners holding the table top to the legstand.
Mounting the clamping rail
• Insert a bolt (29) into each hole in the table top (fig. K2).
• Place a compression spring (49) onto each of the bolts (29) as shown.
• Place the rail (12) on the bolts.
• Fit a clamp knob (50) onto the bolts.
Mounting the driving rail
• Insert a bolt (29) into each hole in the table top (fig. K3).
• Place a compression spring (49) onto each of the bolts (29) as shown.
• Place the rail (4) on the bolts.
• Fit a nut (23) onto the bolts. Do not yet tighten the nuts.
• Assemble the fence as described below and slide it behind the driving
rail (4).
• Adjust the rail by turning the nuts one by one until the fence plate slides
smoothly without play.
Assembling the fence (fig. L1 & L2)
• Take the fence support (102) and slide it behind the clamping rail (12)
(fig. L1).
• Tighten the clamp knobs (50).
• Place the fence bracket (103) on the fence support (102).
• Fit a nut (23) and lock knob (51) onto the threaded ends as shown.
Do not tighten the nut firmly as the fence bracket must be able to turn
around the threaded end.
• Slide the fence clamping support (104) into the fence profile (105) (fig. L2).
• Place the fence profile against the raised edge of the fence bracket.
• Fix the fence profile using the wing nuts (106).
Mounting the saw blade (fig. A, M1 & M2)
The teeth of a new blade are very sharp and can be
dangerous.
Use a holder or wear gloves when handling saw blades.
• Set the blade arbor (86) (fig. M1) to its highest position using the
elevating handle (11) (fig. A).
• Remove the nut (91) and the outer clamp washer (90) (fig. M1).
• Install the saw blade (7) onto the shoulder (107) provided on the inner
clamp washer (89), making sure that the teeth at the top edge of the
blade are pointing forward (toward the operator).
• Remount the outer clamp washer (90) and nut (91) as shown.
Make sure that the ring of the blade nut is seated against the outer
clamp washer.
• Tighten the nut by turning it counter-clockwise. Use the Allen key and
the combination wrench (fig. M2).
Adjusting the riving knife (fig. N1 & N2)
• Loosen the nut (46) a few turns.
• Set the riving knife (6) so that the distance between riving knife and
saw blade is 3-8 mm and the distance between the highest tooth and
the riving knife is approx. 13 mm (fig. N2).
• Tighten the nut without moving the riving knife.
Mounting the table insert (fig. O)
• Place the insert (3) in the recess in the table top.
• Fit the insert to the table top using the screw (56).
Never use the machine without the table insert. Immediately
replace the table insert when worn or damaged.
Mounting the upper blade guard (fig. P)
• Secure the upper blade guard (5) to the riving knife using the screw (47)
and the self-locking nut (23).
Attaching the bevel scale (fig. Q)
• Adjust the saw blade to a right angle following the instructions below.
• Stick the bevel scale (108) onto the frame bracket (77), taking care that
the 0° marking coincides with the edge of the blade guard (93).
Placing the machine in position
• Move the machine to the location where you intend to use it.
When moving the machine, always seek assistance.
The machine is too heavy for one person to handle.
• If possible, bolt the machine to the floor using the floor anchor holes
provided.
• Connect the machine to the mains.
Adjustment
Prior to adjustment always unplug the tool.
Blade height adjustment (fig. A)
• Take hold of the elevating handle (11) and adjust the blade height.
- Turn clockwise to increase the height.
- Turn counterclockwise to decrease the height.
Checking and adjusting the blade to the fence (fig. R)
• Set the saw blade to its highest position.
• Set the fence for ripping.
• Check the accuracy by placing the fence against the blade.
• If adjustment is required, slacken the nuts (48) holding the brackets (77)
to the saw table. Tap the brackets using a soft hammer until the saw
blade is parallel to the fence.
• Securely tighten the nuts using the spanner (16).
Adjusting the bevel stops (fig. S1 & S2)
• Set the saw blade to its highest position.
Adjusting the right angle stops (fig. S1)
• Slacken the lock knobs (28).
• Using a set square, check the angle between the saw blade and the
table top.
• Adjust the bevel angle until the saw blade is at exactly 90° to the table
top.
• Tighten the lock knobs.
• Adjust the bevel stop by slackening the nuts (109) and locating the
nuts against the motor frame assembly. Securely tighten the nuts.
Adjusting the bevel angle stop (fig. S2)
• Slacken the lock knobs (28).
• Using a set square, check the angle between the saw blade and the
table top.
• Adjust the bevel angle until the saw blade is at exactly 45° to the table
top.
• Tighten the lock knobs.
