ESSENTIAL SAFETY WARNINGS
For your safety, the instructions need to be carefully read before using the device and the
following rules must be scrupulously followed:
•
Carefully store this instruction manual for later consultation.
•
After removing the packing make sure that the device is in perfect condition, in particular that
it is intact and without any visible damage that could have been caused during transport. If
you have any doubts, do not use the machine and contact professionally qualified and
authorised personnel.
•
Keep the packing materials (plastic bags, cardboard boxes, etc.) out of the reach of children.
They could be a source of danger. (FIG.17)
•
Before connecting LIBRA to the mains, make sure that the plate figures correspond to those
of the electricity network. The device should only be used with earthed electrical systems.
If the plug and socket are not compatible contact the nearest assistance centre.
They will check that the plug is suitable for the power absorbed by the device. As a general
rule, it is inadvisable to use adapters, power strips and/or extension cords.
If their use becomes indispensable it is necessary to only use single adapters or extension
cords in compliance with safety rules, paying attention not to exceed the limit of the adapters
and extension cords

Only use the device for its intended use as stated in this instruction manual.
Any other use is to be considered incorrect and thus dangerous. Specifically, steam cannot be
used directly on the skin and vital parts of a person and/or animals, leaves and vital parts of plants
and flowers as well as extremely fragile or delicate materials. The manufacturer shall not be held
liable for any damage resulting from incorrect uses and/or mistakes made during use.
•
Disconnect the device from the mains before performing any cleaning or maintenance
operations on it.
•
Before cleaning the boiler discharge the steam using the specific controls and wait until the
device is cold. Remember to unplug the device.
•
The device may reach high temperatures during operation, avoid touching the sole plate of
the iron or getting near the jet of steam.
•
Do not point the jet of steam at electrical parts and/or components.
•
A few fundamental rules need to be followed when using any electrical device:

Do not leave the device unsupervised and keep it out of the reach of children.

Do not pull the cable or pull the cable out of the socket.

Protect the cable from sources of heat, steam or corrosive substances.

Do not run the cable over sharp edges or stick it between doors, drawers, etc. it can
wear easily and get damaged.

If the cable is damaged and needs to be replaced only contact an authorised technical
Assistance Centre.

Do not use the device with bare feet.
-
Do not leave the device exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.).
-
Do not submerge the device in water.
•
If the device becomes damaged, do not use it or put the plug in the socket, turn it off
immediately, unplug it and contact an authorised technical Assistance Centre. Repairs must
be performed by qualified personnel using original spare parts only.
