5. Selecting the output level

Set the output level in 1 dB steps between 0 and –10 dB with the "+" or "–" key as follows :
„from y y –10... –2 y y –1 y y 0 z z out z z –10 z z –9..."
The setting of the output level is possible in the submenu for the output frequency. To do this, access the submenu with the
key and set the desired level with the "+" or "–" key.

Select the desired QAM with the "+" or "–" key. The selectable stages are 16, 32, 64, 128, 256.
If the following message appears instead

... the value must be elevated (e.g. to 32).
Note : If several QAM stages are possible, it is advantageous to select the lower stage
(e.g. 64 or 32
In operation mode "Stuffing", "too high" or "too low" is not displayed; instead of this, an
exclamation mark indicates that either the output symbol rate or the QAM stage must be changed
in order to attain correct operation ( see selection of the output symbol rate in operation mode
"PRBS" and "Stuffing" with and without programme filter).
