Application
Movement sensor module for Siedle
Classic with photoelectric lighting
controller and a horizontal pickup
angle of max. 180°.
Passive infrared detectors (PIR detec
tors) respond to changes in the
incident infrared radiation. To detect
motion, the moving object must
radiate heat itself.
• Pickup angle/pickup width can be
changed via aperture insert
• Photoelectric lighting controller
range can be adjusted
• Switchoff delay can be set
• Photoelectric lighting controller
and movement sensor module can
be used individually or combined
Remarks
• For consumers with heavy current
connection, remote switching relays
12 V / 230 V AC with a suitable
switching capacity must be used.
• If external light buttons are addi
tionally used in the same circuit, a
time switch relay (staircase timer) is
required.
• The movement sensor module
is not suitable for use with alarm
systems.
Electrical voltage
Mounting, installation and servicing
work on electrical devices may only
be performed by a suitably qualified
electrician.
Choosing a location
The mounting position is frequently
predetermined by combination
withthe intercom system. The ideal
mounting height for entryway
intercom systems is between 1.40
and 1.60 m above the finished
floorlevel.
1 The pick-up width of the move-
ment sensor module depends on the
mounting height and the approach
direction. The specified pick-up
widths are valid for a walking direc-
tion at right angles to the sensor.

2 The horizontal pick-up angle
(pick-up range) is max. 180°.
The pickup width and/or the pick
up range of the movement sensor
module can be restricted
or increased as required
(see "Commissioning").

ment.

at dusk and in case of movement.
Commissioning
The range/pickup angle are deter
mined and restricted where neces
sary, and the off delay and photo
electric lighting controller settings
adjusted during the commissioning
process.
Restrict the pick-up width/
pick-up range
Plastic partial shells are provided
with the movement sensor module.
These plastic parts can be used if
required to limit the lateral pickup
range and width.
6 Score the plastic shield insert
using a sharp knife at the required
marking line, break off and touch up
the rough edge if necessary.
7 Clip the cover parts onto the rel-
evant positions on the semispherical
surface of the sensor.
It is now possible to carry out a
performance check of the pickup
range.
Increasing the range
8 By turning the lens by 180°, the
range is extended from 5 m to
appr. 9 m in the event of a mounting
height of 1.40 m.
For module removal, see the installa
tion instructions for the Classic door
station.
9 Remove the module cover to
rotate the lens.
10 Loosen the 4 screws on the back
of the module.
11 Turn the lens by 180°. Then
screw it back onto the housing.
12 The potentiometer symbols on
the lens are the wrong way round,
and the guide mark "Oben/Top" is
at the bottom.
After the range extension has been
completed, clip the module cover
back into the module housing.
Performance check
The function test is carried out by
entering the pickup range. For
this purpose, the movement sensor
module is set to daytime operation
in the factory and with 5 seconds on
time. The movement sensor module
responds quickest when walking at
right angles to the sensor.
After switching off the move
ment sensor module, a delay of
approx. 2 seconds is activated during
which repeated activation of the
sensor is disabled.
OFF delay (time setting)
13 The required lighting time of the
connected lamp can be steplessly
adjusted from around 5 seconds
to max. 15 minutes. On the right is
the potentiometer for setting the
OFF delay. The shortest ON time is
set at the far right-hand point, the
longest on the far left-hand point.
The CBMM 611-... comes with a
default setting of 5 seconds. The
OFF delay for the contacts B and D/B
always apply jointly to both outputs.
If applicable, check by repeating the
function test.
