ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

The RUBI TI-T and RUBI TI-S cutters are high

quality machines with which you can obtain optimal

results. Please read the instruction manual carefully.

Verify that all the components are in perfect condition

and if you observe any defect, please contact your point

of sale.

The machine comes with an 10 mm cutting wheel.

The TI-T and TI-S handles come with anti-friction

protection which makes it easier for the handle to slide

across the guide.

The hold-down plates come with protectors which

prevent marks on the ceramic pieces.

There is a special place on the cutting base for spare

cutting wheels.

The machine comes with six rubber feet which prevent

slippage.

The right-angle brackets on the RUBI TI-T and RUBI TI-

S cutters are factory-adjusted. To begin the work, place

it on the base.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The right-angle bracket can be fixed by means of the

block clamp.

- Blocked: upper position

- Unblocked: lower position

The right-angle bracket includes a graduated strip with

two scales - one shows the straight measurement of the

piece, the other corresponds to the 45º cut

measurement.

By means of the block clamp, the right-angle bracket can

be fixed in any position from 0º to +50º and from 0º to -

50º.

The block button

makes it possible to fix it with

precision by intervals of 15º.

To insert the scoring wheel (cutting tool), observe the

location on the handle and press the red button on the

handle and slide it all the way towards the arrow. Let go

of the button and the cutting wheel will remain fixed. To

change the cutting wheel, do the reverse process.

In order to work comfortably, use the lateral arms to

support the ceramic piece.

If you need to cut a 2 cm wide section, first cut a 4 cm

wide section and then cut it in half.

RUBI TI-S Scoring by pushing in the direction of.

To make a 90º cut, place the ceramic firmly against the

graduated right-angle bracket (for greater precision,

use the lateral support limiter).

From the area opposite the right-angle bracket, push

the handle forwards (the hold-down plate will rise

when it scores the ceramic), then applying leverage,

make a single score on the enameled side. Finally move

the handle upwards to lower the hold-down plate.

45º

To achieve a diagonal cut, turn the right-angle

bracket ruler, to the position reguired and fix with

the clamp.

RUBI TI-S Scoring by pulling

For more comfort when using the machine, you must

graduate the height regulation device on the handle.

To do this, there is a button marked with I, II, III.

To activate it, you must pull on it and turn it to the

desired position based on the thickness of the ceramic

to be cut.

90º

To make a 90º cut, place the ceramic firmly against the

graduated right-angle bracket (for greater precision,

use the lateral support limiter).

From the area opposite the right-angle bracket, pull

the handle towards it, making a single score on the

side.

0º

To cut pieces diagonally, turn the right-angle bracket

ruler, position it in the angle you need and fix it with the

clamp

Once the piece has been scored place the hold-down

plate 10 mm from the edge of the piece in area nearest

the right-angle bracket and firmly press the end of the

handle downwards.

MAINTENANCE

The RUBI TI-T and RUBI TI-S cutters do not need

maintenance or greasing.

Keep your machine clean and it will offer the most

satisfactory results for your work. Prevent ceramic

remains from accumulating under the work bases and in

the right-angle bracket rotation area.

Adjusting the right-angle bracket:

a) Loosen the threaded stay bolt that fixes the top

with a 2.5 mm Allen key

b) Place the right-angle bracket at the 0º point

c) Press the top button with a 14 mm double-sided

wrench 14 mm. Turn to the right or left until the

right-angle bracket is at 90º to the cut line.

d) Tighten the threaded stay bolt and the machine

will be aligned.

Adjust the clamp pressure on the right-angle bracket:

a) The right-angle bracket must be assembled.

b) Loosen the lock nut with a 10 mm double-sided

wrench.

c) Tighten or loosen the part manually until you get

the desired feel.

d) Tighten the lock nut.
