- Glue the horn in place using robbe Speed (cyano-acryla-
te).
Caution: remember to fit rings of heat-shrink sleeve
over the clevises to prevent them opening acciden-
tally.

It is essential to join these parts at right-angles, and
keep the fin exactly central (in line with the fuselage
centreline - see drawing).

- Connect the prepared elevator pushrod to the horn. Use
the spigots to mark the position of the horn on the elevator.

- Open up the holes in the control surface to accommodate
the horn spigots. Cut down the horn spigots to a length of
about 4 mm.

- Hold the horn in position, and mark the outline of the horn
base. Carefully slit the film along the outline using a sharp
balsa knife, and remove the unwanted film.
Glue the horn in place using robbe Speed (cyano-acryla-
te).

- Use a sharp balsa knife to cut a chamfer in the tail end
of the fuselage about 4 mm wide; this allows more down-
elevator movement in flight.

- The tail assembly can now be placed on the fuselage again
after threading the pushrods into their sleeves.

- Glue the tail assembly to the fuselage using white glue.

- Take great care to position the tail assembly correctly
relative to the fuselage and wings when gluing the parts
together. It is best to check repeatedly that everything is
‚square'. Attach the wing centre section to the fuselage to
check alignment.

- Screw a threaded coupler into each clevis for the rudder
and elevator linkages. Set the control surface and corre-
sponding servo output arm to neutral (centre), mark the
length of the pushrod - taking into account the length of the
threaded coupler and clevis - and cut it to length. Finally
unscrew the clevis, and solder the pushrod in the threaded
coupler.

pilot-holes for the retaining screws, then fix the wingtip in

cedure with the opposite wingtip.

Fix the battery in the fuselage in the appropriate position (Fig.
44). Do not connect the battery at this stage.
Attach the wings to the fuselage.
The Centre of Gravity should be at a point 80 mm aft of the
wing root leading edge +/- 5 mm.
