BATTERY CHARGING
CHARGING BATTERY PACK (LX-2182) WITH 1 HOUR CHARGER (LX-2183)
CHARGING:
Make sure the Input Power Circuit Voltage is the same as that shown on the Charger
Specification Plate. Connect Charger to Power Source Outlet.
CAUTION:
Vent slots in bottom of Battery Pack must not be obstructed. Do not charge Battery Pack
when temperature is below 32°F (0°C) or above 104°F (40°C). Recharging the Battery Pack before this
condition is reached will reduce the total work life of the Battery Pack. Discharging the Battery Pack
beyond this point could damage the Battery Pack. Never completely discharge the Battery Pack.
NOTE:
Charger is a fast recharge type charger. Insert the small plug on the end of the charger lead
into the plug hole on back of the battery. A red light on the Charger indicates the battery is charging.
When the battery is fully charged the red light turns green. The battery can be charged attached to or
removed from the grease gun. To remove battery from the grease gun, press the red button on back
of battery and slide battery out of the rear of the gun. DO NOT force battery if fitting or removing from
gun. Replace battery into grease gun, by carefully aligning the battery to the cavity on the gun, slide
battery in, until the battery locks into place. The first few charges should be for a minimum of 6
hours before use.
Battery Packs are affected by temperature. Your Battery Pack will perform best and have longest life if it is
charged when the temperature is between 60° - 80°F (15° - 27°C). Note: Battery Pack temperature will
increase during and shortly after use. Battery Pack may not accept a full charge if it is charged immediately
after use. For best results allow the Battery Pack to cool to room temperature before charging. Do not
charge in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or above 104°F (40°C). Under these conditions, capacity will
be reduced. A substantial drop in operating time per charge may mean that the Battery Pack is nearing
the end of its life and should be replaced.
The temperature of the Battery Pack should be less than 120°F (48°C), before the Charger would start
charging. Red light would glow indicating the Battery Pack is receiving a fast charge. However, should
the temperature of the Battery Pack be higher than 131°F (55°C), Green light would glow initially indicating
the temperature of Battery Pack is greater than 131°F (55°C) and the Charger will not begin the charge
until the Battery Pack cools down. Once the Battery Pack cools down, the Charger would automatically
commence fast charging. This would be indicated by the Red light. Under normal conditions the Battery
Pack will be fully charged by over 90% within an hour. Green light would glow indicating that the Battery
Pack is fully charged and you may remove the Battery Pack from the Charger.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Source (unless you're charging another Battery Pack) and slip the Battery Pack back into the tool.
When the Battery Pack is fully charged, disconnect the Charger from Power
