How to use
Clean, disinfect and sterilize the product before using it for the
first time and before every subsequent use.
3.1
Ignition test
Before and during the ignition test do not touch any non-sterile
objects with the APC applicator / the APC probe.
You must not touch the ignition adapter or the beam during the
ignition test in any case.
Do not point igniting APC applicators / APC probes at the ignition
adapter for longer than 10 sec (continuous activation or several
consecutive activations), because it could otherwise be dam-
aged.
Only for electrosurgical units from the VIO series: For this test
use only foot switches with shielded cables.
Only for electrosurgical units from the ICC series: For this test use
only the return electrode settings "Divided return electrode" ( ||
) or "Any return electrode" ( | ||).
1. Switch on device(s).
2. Connect the APC applicator / APC probe to the argon plasma
coagulation device.
3. Select the following device settings on the electrosurgical
unit:
– On VIO devices: FORCED APC, 25 – 50 Watt
– On ICC 350, 300: SPRAY COAG, 40 – 60 Watt
– On ICC 200: APC-Mode (coded for by Display A. + two
digits for the power), 40 – 60 Watt
