6. GAMES
If you want to have a rest or to relieve yourself after hard working, you can play some
games provided with the system.
Press SETUP key to enter the Main Menu. Then you can select Games to enter the
Games menu.
7. RECORD FUNCTION
The DVB Recorder supplies Digital TV program watching and recording function; and it
supports Timer Recorder function.
The recorded program is saved with *.mpg format, and can be replayed any time you want.
Note : For the correct recording of videos in the storage disc it has to be USB 2,0,
in addition if they are external hard disks, they must have own electrical current.
7.1 Limitations:
(1) File system: FAT32 format.
In the Main Menu, select the partition-Format to format the unit.
(2) Code rate: The max rate is 6Mbps.
(3) Process limitations: While recording, the TELETEXT, SUBTITLE, EPG and AUDIO
functions are invalid.
(4) It can only record audio and video of the playing digital TV programs. The Teletext,
subtitle and EPG sources cannot be recorded and the Radio program cannot be
recorded also.
(5) Other limitations: Some hard disks have several partitions. You should choose the
partition you want before recording. When the hard disk is recognized by the unit,
press DEVICE LIST key to enter the device list. Choose the device you want and
press ENTER key to confirm. When the setup succeeded, return to Hide Menu
status, and then press RECORD key to start the recording. Remember the partition
you have chosen for recording.
All the recorded files are saved under the /PVR directory (Shown as the figure
below ) .
7.2 How to record:
a) Changing the work directory
Press the DEVICE LIST key to enter the device list menu, shown as below:

Use Up/Down keys to choose the work directory, then press ENTER key to set it as the
default work directory, shown as below:
Press " YES"to confirm the setup, and press " NO"to exit the menu.
The unit needs time to calculate the spare space of the hard disk. You should wait for
several seconds until the screen displays " Set successful... " . The unit will return to the
TV channel playing status, then you can start the recording.
b) Start recording
While playing the Digital TV program, press RECORD key to start the recording, and
the left-top corner will show
mark.
Press the DISPLAY key to display the recording information (Program name, remains
time, recording time, ect.). Press it again to cancel the recording information.
When the disk is full, it will stop automatically, and " USB disk is full"will be shown on
the screen.
c) Stop Recording
While recording, press RECORD key to stop the recording and the dialogue box will
appear:
Select " Yes"to exit the program recording and back to normal program playing.
Select " No"to continue the program recording.
