DRAINING/WINTERIZING
The unit is equipped with a drain to allow removal of any
water that might remain in the unit after operating the purge
function. Draining the unit is especially important when the
unit might be exposed to freezing conditions during storage
or transport.
After placing a catch basin under the plug, use a
wrench to remove the drain plug located in the lower right
corner of the rear panel.
Tip: With the drain plug removed, gently shake the unit
and then tip the unit back and to the right. This will
allow for more complete removal of any water that has
collected in the rear panel.
Once any water has drained out, replace the plug. Tighten
until snug. Do not overtighten.

lasting, protective shine, use a similar automotive interior
treatment.
As Needed
Clean Pump Check Valve and Basin. If the unit
displays the message "ER9 PUMP BLOCKED CHECK
PUMP & HOSE", the pump check valve and pump basin
may need to be cleaned. This requires removal of the
back cover.
Clean coils and heat exchange block. Inspect the
horizontal evaporator (cold) coil with the back cover
removed. If excessive dust and debris is present,
vacuum thoroughly and/or clean with coil cleaner.
