MOD.
4; pos. A) shows OFF, that means that the heating
element in the boiler is inactive.
To enable boiler heating press the button (Fig.4-A;
pos. B). The boiler temperature is displayed.
A dot in the bottom right corner of the display
signals the activation of the resistance (Fig. 4-A;
pos. C).
4.4.2 Setting the boiler temperature
The adjustment of the temperature in the boiler
depends on many variables such as outside tem-
perature, humidity, quality of the coffee, etc. and
is set at the factory at the average temperature
of 90°C.
Pressing the button (Fig. 4-A; pos. A) the displays
shows PrG, pressing the button (Fig. 4-A; pos.
B) the factory default boiler temperature (90°C),
corresponding to the pressure of 1 bar, is shown.
Now it is possible to change the temperature
setting using the buttons (Fig. 4-A; pos A/B).
3 seconds after pressing the last button, the
temperature control stores any change and returns
to display the boiler temperature.

sion table
Warnings:
The machine allows you to choose which unit of
measurement of temperature is displayed:
°C (Celsius).
°F (degrees Fahrenheit).
To set a value, press the button (Fig. 4-A; pos. A)
the display will show PRG; press the button (Fig.
4-A; pos. A) the display will show UoM; press the
button (Fig. 4-A; pos. B) in order to change the

Warnings:
- Use drinking water with water hardness in
French degrees of about 6°F; never use hot
water.
Insert the plug in the electrical socket.
Turn the main switch (Fig. 01; pos. 1) to position
1.
Water is automatically loaded into the boiler.
Should the lights be off after the water supply, turn on
and off the switch ON/OFF till the lights light up.
5.2 Heating
To ensure that the machine has reached the
proper thermal balance between pressure and
temperature, when the boiler's gauge (Fig. 01;
pos. 14) will indicate a pressure between 1 and
1.2 bar (0.1 – 0.12 MPa), open the steam tap
(Fig. 01; pos. 9) and exhaust the steam 2 or 3
times in the discharge basin.
The yellow light (Fig. 01; pos. 12), if on, points out
the machine is in working order; if off, it means
that the water level in the tank (S version), in the
boiler (R version) is not enough.
Warning:
- A safety device allows to stop the motor pump
after 120 seconds if the water minimum level
is not supplied to the boiler. The machine, as
alarm signal, turns off the lights.
5.3 Preparing coffee
1) Remove the filter holder (Fig. 01; pos. 7) from
the supply group.
2) Put the ground coffee into the filter holder,
press it and make attention that the filter hold-
er edge is not dirty with coffee.
Start erogation without filter holder for about 2/3
seconds MAX (GROUP FLUSH).
3) Replace the filter holder in its housing.
4) Lift up the lever (Fig. 05) to obtain coffee dis-
pensing
5) To stop dispensing, when the desidered dose
is reached, take the lever back to downward
position, to allow the unloading of the group
