Charging the Battery
- The Ni-Cd batteries may lack performance and charge if they are not properly charged.
Only recharge the batteries when the tool lacks performance. Do not recharge the batteries with half load or
which have not been completely discharged.
- The useful life and performance of the battery may be improved if the charging is performed when the tempera-
ture is between 18 °C and 24°C. Do not charge the battery in extreme temperatures (below 0°C and above 40°C).
- In order to charge the battery, plug the battery charger into and electrical outlet and then fit the battery into it.
- When the tool performance is lacking, recharge the battery;
- It is not recommended to charge the battery when it heats up during operation and it is still hot. Wait for the
battery to cool down before charging it; that will extend its useful life;
- To charge the battery, plug the battery charger into and electrical outlet and then fit the battery into it.
- If, after the charging, the performance of the tool is still lacking, that means the battery is not able to perform
chemical reactions for its charging anymore. If that occurs, the battery must be replaced.
For the best performance of the cells and batteries of the equipment, we recommend the following
care:
• Remove the battery from the equipment after completing the service;
• Always use the charger supplied with the equipment. Never use any charger of other brands or capacities;
• Always keep your equipment in a dry and ventilated place. Extreme heat, cold or humidity conditions harm
performance and battery life;
• Never throw an old battery into a fire. This can cause an explosion;
• Never leave your equipment for long periods without use. Continued use prevents the loss of battery storage
capacity;
• Observe the recharging time of the battery, at a minimum of 3 hours and maximum of 5 hours. Recharge ti-
mes less than 3 hours reduce the energy storage capacity. Recharge times greater than 5 hours will consume
unnecessary energy and may cause damage to the battery.
• Always maintain the contacts on the charger and the battery clean to prevent oxidation.
Note:
• If the battery is damaged, avoid leaving it connected to the equipment to prevent other damages;
• Follow the instructions provided on the equipment for proper operation usage.
