Installation Instructions for Electric Kit 705161
Electric Kit for Trailer Coupling, 7 Channel, 12 Volt, According to ISO 1724,
CITROËN XSARA Picasso from 02/00
Contents: 1 Socket, 7-pin, with tripping contact for rear fog light,
1 Rubber seal for socket connector,
1 Cable set, 14-wire,
3 Nuts M5 (self-locking),
3 Screws M5 x 30,
6 Foam pads,
5 Cable ties, 100 mm long.
Work to be carried out, general information:
1. Disconnect earth cable from battery.
2. Install 14-wire cable set and socket.
3. Check function.
1. Disconnect earth line from battery
For safety reasons and to avoid short circuits during installation, it is imperative that the earth line be
removed from the battery (fire hazard)!!
Attention: Onboard computer / immobilizer / fault memory!
2. Install 14-wire cable set and socket
Loosen the top part of the side lining on the left side of the boot.
Dismantle the loading edge lining and also the right and left tail lamp.
Lift up the carpet and loosen the lower part of the boot side lining and pull it forward.
Insert the end of the wire set (14-wire) with the wire end cover from the front into the
hole in the holder plate for the plug.
Fit the enclosed rubber seal for the socket onto the end of the cable set.
Press the contact insert out of the enclosed socket.
(Open cover; contact is only held in place)
