Abseiling and rescue equipment
Safety Roll AGR 2000 / SWISS ROLL R 300
in accordance with EN 341 Class A and EN 1496
1. General
The rescue device is for rescuing people from work at heights or low down. It may only be used by people
who are physically fit, are trained in using it safely and who have the necessary knowledge and skills.
In order to be able to rescue an accident victim as quickly as possible in the event of a fall or any other
accident, there must be an emergency plan covering rescue measures for all the possible emergencies
which may occur at work. The rescue device is not a fall-arrest device!
2. Prior to use
Each time he intends to use the rescue device the user must first make sure the device is absolutely safe
to operate and is in full working order. This includes a visual inspection of the device, the rope for lowering
and all the other components making up the equipment. He must fully satisfy himself that the rope is not
damaged in any way and can freely run in and out of the device. This inspection prior to use may only be
dispensed with if the rescue device is part of emergency equipment and has been examined by a specialist
before and has been packed in a closed container.
If there is any doubt as to the safe condition of the rescue device,
it must immediately be withdrawn from service.
