Selecting a Site

Be sure to observe the following requirements when choosing a site for the
AT-EX1001SC/GM1 Multimode Extender.
Select a site that is dust-free and moisture-free.
Do not block the ventilation openings on the unit. The site should
allow for proper heat dissipation from and adequate ventilation
around the unit.
Be sure that the site will allow you to easily access the fiber optic
cables and the power cable.
Use dedicated power circuits or power conditioners to supply reliable
power to the unit.

Verifying Package Contents

Make sure that the following items are included in your package, If any of the
following items are missing or damaged, contact your Allied Telesyn sales
representative.
One AT-EX1001SC/GM1 Gigabit Ethernet Multimode Extender
Power cord (Americas, EC, Australia, and UK only)
This installation guide
Warranty card
