Angle Adjustment
Follow these instructions for left and right sides.
Warnings:
- DO NOT adjust the angle while the product is installed on the wheelchair. If the product is installed, first remove it from the wheelchair before adjusting the angle.
See "Product Removal".
- DO NOT install, remove, or adjust the angle of the product while the individual is seated in the wheelchair.
1. Before adjusting the angle, make sure the hardware is correct
for the wheelchair and back shell. See "Hardware Selection".
2. Loosen the angle adjustment screw up to 1½ full rotations.
3. On each side of the back shell, locate the markers and rotate
the hardware to the desired angle.
Make sure that the markers are lined up the same way on both
sides.
Note: Each back shell marker represents 5 degrees. The angle
can be adjusted up to 15 degrees in either direction.
4. Tighten the angle adjustment screw until snug.
Note: If a torque wrench is available, tighten to no more than 60
inch-pounds (7 Newton-meters).
