compartment and the area behind the tail light assembly.
6. Route the 4-flat plug on the T-Connector harness into the
vehicle through the hole for the tail light wiring harness and
into the jack storage compartment. Push the T-Connectors black
box and additional wiring in through the tail light wiring hole.
Reposition the tape removed in step 5 over the wires to seal the
jack compartment.
7. Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the right
(passenger) side and repeat steps 2 through 4 for the right side tail
light assembly.
8. Position the left (drivers) side rubber grommet over the
T-Connector harness and carefully position all the wiring inside the
vehicle behind the grommet. Seat the grommet into its mounting
hole.
9. Repeat step 8 for the right (passenger) side of the vehicle.
10. Confirm correct operation with a test light or by using a trailer.
Note: All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector harness to operate.
11. Return the tail light assemblies to their original positions and
secure with the fasteners removed in step 2. Secure the black box
with cable ties (provided). Replace the jack storage cover and any
other trim removed during installation.
12. Secure any additional harness wire behind the bumper using
cable ties (provided). The 4-flat connector can be stored in the jack
storage compartment (Mini Vans) or under the vehicle (Durango)
when not in use.
