DO NOT place or hang the insect trap:
• in a place where children or pets can touch the device.
• in a draft, as insects do not like this.
• in the vicinity of people or food which will cause the insects to
be drawn there rather than to the insect trap.
• right next to other lights by which the UV lights will attract less
attention from the insects.
• upside down (the metal suspension ring must be located on
the upper side of the BC-17).
DO place or hang the insect catcher:
• in a dark area of the room.
• as high as possible in the room.
Outdoor use:
The BC-17 is NOT waterproof but is suitable for outdoor
use, provided it is placed under a roof covering. The
power adapter is not suitable for outdoor use and should
be plugged into an indoor electrical outlet.
How to Install:
1. Hang or place the BC-17 in a suitable location.
When hanging the BC-17 be sure to only hang using the
metal ring. The BC-17 adapter power supply cord is not
suitable for hanging. Wire breakage and heat generation/fire
could result.
2. Insert the adapter plug located at the top of the device.
3. Fasten the AC adapter cord securely to the ceiling and /or
wall so that it cannot lead to tripping or falling, and so that the
insect catcher does not fall. Make sure the basket underneath
is attached to the insect catcher and tightened clockwise. (*)
