BebèCare equipment battery level.
If the level is low, the user can replace the bat-
teries with others with the same characteristics
(non-rechargeable) on their own, making sure
they are the right way round.
To replace the batteries, proceed as described
(see fig. 1-2):
• Remove the cover from the seat section of
the car seat.
• Lift the upper edge of the sponge until the
battery compartment is accessible.
• Replace the batteries.
• Reposition the foam so that it adheres to the
car seat structure.
IMPORTANT: In the event of a malfunction or
fault, try removing the batteries and reinserting
inside the compartment, then check whether
the system is working again.

1.8 DISPOSING OF THE PRODUCT

Once the usage limit for the seat has been
reached, the Chicco BebèCare component in
the seat under the cover must be separated
before disposal, making sure to remove the
battery unit and sensor section.
You can contact the support centre/customer
service for further details.
Follow the instructions provided below for
disposal (Paragraphs 1.7.1 – 1.7.2.).
1.8.1 THIS PRODUCT COMPLIES
WITH
2012/19/EU.
The crossed bin symbol on the ap-
pliance indicates that the product, at
the end of its life, must be disposed
of separately from domestic waste, either by
taking it to a separate waste disposal site for
electric and electronic appliances or by return-
ing it to your dealer when you buy another
similar appliance. The user is responsible for
taking the appliance to a special waste disposal
site at the end of its life. If the disused appliance
is collected correctly as separate waste, it can
be recycled, treated and disposed of ecolog-
ically; this avoids a negative impact on both
the environment and health, and contributes
towards the recycling of the product's materials.
For further information regarding the waste
disposal services available, contact your local

waste disposal agency or the shop where you
bought the appliance.
1.8.2 CONFORMITY WITH EU
DIRECTIVE 2006/66/EC as
amended.
The crossed bin symbol on the bat-
tery or its packaging, means that the batteries,
at the end of their life, should be disposed of
separately from the municipal waste stream via
designated collection facilities appointed by the
government or the local authorities, or otherwise
returned to the dealer when purchasing new
equivalent rechargeable or non-rechargeable
batteries. Chemical symbols (Hg for mercury,
Cd for cadmium, Pb for lead) printed beneath
the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicate
the type of substance contained in the battery.
The user is responsible for taking the batteries
to special waste disposal sites at the end of their
life so they can be processed and recycled. The
correct disposal of spent batteries by means
of separate waste collection and subsequent
recycling, treatment and environmentally sound
disposal will help prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment and human
health and favour the recycling of the materials of
which the batteries are made. Improper disposal
of the product by the user may harm the environ-
ment and human health. For further information
regarding the waste disposal services available,
contact your local waste disposal agency or the
shop where you purchased the product.
