6.11 Probe calibration
Deviations in the displayed temperature values, e.g. due to cables that are too long or sensors
not positioned correctly, can be compensated manually in this menu. Settings can be made for
each sensor in 0.5 °C steps.
The settings are only required in special cases at the time of initial startup by per-
sonnel in charge. Incorrect measurement values can result in unexpected errors.
6.12 Guided programming
The startup wizard guides the user in the correct order of basic settings necessary to follow for
startup and provides a brief description of each parameter on the display. Press "esc" to return
to the previous value to check or modify it as desired. Press "esc" more than once to return to
the selection mode, thereby exiting the wizard (see "Startup wizard" on page 151).
It can only be started by appropriate personnel during commissioning! Follow the
explanations for the individual parameters in these instructions and check if further
settings are required for the various applications.
6.13 Default settings
All settings can be reset by returning the controller to the factory-set parameters.
The entire parameterization, statistics, etc., of the controller will be irrevocably lost.
The controller must then be reconfigured manually.
6.14 Startup help
With some solar systems, especially with vacuum tube collectors, recording the measurement
of values on the collector probes may be too slow or too inaccurate because often the probe is
not in the hottest place. When active, there will be the following sequence: if the temperature
on the collector sensor increases by the specified value with "increment" within one minute,
the solar pump is activated for the set "bleed time" so that the fluid to be measured can move
towards the collector sensor. If it still does not reach a normal switch-on condition, there will be
a 5 minute lockout for the help function at start.
This function should only be activated by a technician in case of problems with
recording measurements. In particular, observe the collector manufacturer's in-
structions.
The "Bleed duration" and "Increment" menus are displayed only when the startup help function
is set to "On"".
