5 Safety arnings
When used correctly, the lea protection fitting minimises ater loss volumes and so
reduces the extent of damage if such an incident occurs. Ho ever, the fitting does not provide
comprehensive protection by stopping all ater losses. Ma e chec s at regular intervals (visual
inspection of fitting). Functional tests on the lea protection fitting can also be run via the diag-
nostics function (menu path: Devices -> All devices -> Lea protection fitting -> Diagnostics ->
Valve test). After ards, remember to set the lea protection fitting bac to its initial position.
In the event of a po er failure, the lea protection fitting stays in its last position. In the event

of a lea , or if a permanent shut-off is required, the lea protection fitting must be closed
manually (see p. 18) and isolated from the po er supply: this stops automated opening for
hygiene flushes, for example.
