NW 50 Hz
1. DESCRIPTION
The NW pump has been manufactured according to the European Standard BS EN733 / DIN24255 in
performance and dimensions. This model of pump is used for the transfer of clean water or similar
liquids, being of wide utility in fields such as mining, electricity production, urban supply, refrigeration
systems, fire fighting systems and irrigation.
Within the NW model, the pump has different performance levels, depending on the dimensions of
the diameter after reduction of the impeller. In general in the whole series, there are only four shaft
sizes and five bearing sizes. As long as the bearings are of the same size, interchangeability between
pumps is possible for the main parts such as shaft, shaft sleeve, mechanical seal sleeve, nut, impeller,
etc.
Design: performance and dimensions according to BS EN 733 / DIN 24255.
Structure: Horizontal, axial suction, single stage, single suction, volute casing, free shaft, centrifugal
pump.
Flange: DIN 2501 (ISO 7005.2 / GB / T17241.6 PN1.6) standard, ANSI B16.5 Class 150 Lb, JIS optional.
Rotation: Clockwise viewing from the side of the unit.
Material
Housing: cast iron standard, ductile iron, stainless steel optional.
Impeller: ASTM 304 standard, cast iron, bronze, ASTM 316 optional.
Shaft: ASTM420 standard, ASTM304, ASTM316, ASTM1045 optional
Shaft seal: mechanical seal standard (carbon-ceramic/Viton standard, Caron-Sic/Viton optional),
gland packing optional.
Operating Range
Flow rate (Q): 2-1100 m3/h
Head (H): 2-150 m
Speed: 1450 or 2900 rpm (50 Hz)
1750 or 3500 rpm (60 Hz)
Temperature: - 10 ºC to 105 ºC
Working pressure: 10 Bar standard, 16 Bar on request
