8. MAINTENANCE
Attention
Before carrying out any cleaning and/or maintenance
operations on the machine (including the replacement of
filtration systems, and removal of the top), always remove
the plug from the electrical outlet.
For the cleaning and replacement of filtration systems, consult the
instructions described in paragraph 4. USE AND CLEANING OF THE
FILTRATION SYSTEMS.
To clean the exterior of the machine, use a soft cloth moistened
with water.
Attention
Do not use abrasive materials or detergents which may
damage the surface of the machine.
Attention
Do not clean the machine using water jet or spray, nor by
immersing the machine in water or other liquids.
Clean the safety float basket regularly to ensure its free movement
inside the basket.
The motor does not require any maintenance. It is recommended to
have a qualified technician regularly check the state of the carbon
brushes.
8.A- CLEANING THE WASTE TANK
The quantity of the material vacuumed into the tank must be
checked regularly.
Attention
The tank must never be over half-filled. Regularly check
the quantity of dust and waste matter inside the tank and
empty out the tank when necessary.
To empty the tank:
Disconnect the flexible hose (paragraph 3.B FLEXIBLE HOSE
ASSEMBLY)
Remove the polyester filter
Lift the container.
Attention
Clean and dry the tank before re-use.
Do not leave residues of dust, solid or liquid matter or
dirty water in the tank for long periods of time.
Only for models with tipping trolley:
The tank can be tipped over to allow for easy and
convenient emptying.
To empty the tank
Disconnect the flexible hose (paragraph "4.B"),
Unlatch the front hook,
Grasp the top rim of the tank with one hand and the bottom
rim with the other hand,
Lift the tank slightly to tip it over and empty the contents,

Put the tank bank into its original position and close the
front hook.
Only for models with tipping trolley:
To remove the tank from the trolley, loosen the two
screws.
8.B – DRAIN HOSE KIT (OPTIONAL)
ONLY FOR MODELS WITH A FIXED TROLLEY OR WITHOUT TROLLEY
This optional accessory allows for the draining of the liquid
contents of the tank.
To drain the liquid from the tank:
Take the drain hose off the hook,
Remove the cap, lower the hose and drain the liquid into an
appropriate drainage gutter or receptacle,
Put the cap back on the drain hose,
Hook the drain hose back onto the tank.
Attention
Please make sure that the cap is properly inserted into the
drain hose before re-using the machine. If the cap is not
properly positioned, air leakage will occur and the proper
functioning of the machine will be compromised.
At the end of use, it is recommended to clean the inside of
the tank.
9. STOWING THE MACHINE
After use:
Clean the tank as described in the preceding paragraph.
Attention
Do not leave residues of dust, solid or liquid matter or
dirty water in the tank for long periods of time.
Roll the power cord loosely and hang it on the cord hook
Store the machine in a clean and dry place, protected from
dust and moisture.
Attention
For SP 80 F, SM 80 F, SP 80 BPL, SM 80 BPL:
Some attachments can be stored in the attachments
rack on the back of the trolley.
10. PUTTING OUT OF USE AND DISPOSAL
At the end of the operative life of the machine, it must be put out of
service and disposed of through delivery to the local differentiated
waste and disposal system, according and with strict adherence to
current laws and regulations. Therefore, the user must be informed
about and follow the rules and guidelines regarding the local system
and regulations for the disposal of electrical and electronic devices.
Disposal of this product among normal non-differentiated domestic
waste can seriously harm the environment and pose a risk to the
health of the population and will be subject to fines by local
administrative authorities.
For countries in the European Union, before disposal,
check the technical data label on the machine: if the
symbol shown on the side is present, it means that the
disposal
2012/19/UE regarding Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment, WAEE, and to current national norms.
Therefore, the regulations and guidelines of the local
system for the disposal of electrical and electronic
devices must be strictly followed.
