1. After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is in perfect condition. In particular, make sure that there is no visible
damage that could have been caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact professionally
qualified staff. All packing materials (plastic wrapping, cardboard box, etc.) are potentially dangerous and must be
kept out of children's reach.
2. Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, make sure that its rating corresponds to that of the mains.
The plate is on the bottom of the appliance.
3. This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed, that is, as a travel iron. It can not
therefore be used on a daily basis, and any other use of the item is considered improper and therefore dangerous.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any damage caused by improper, incorrect and unreasonable use
of the appliance.
4. If there is a fault and/or the appliance operates irregularly, switch it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs,
only contact one of the manufacturer's authorised technical service centres and ask for original spare parts. Lack
of compliance with the above may impair the safety of the appliance.
5. Should you decide not to use the appliance any more, we suggest making it inoperative by cutting the power cord
after removing the plug from the socket. We also recommend making all potentially dangerous parts of the
appliance harmless, particularly for children who might be tempted to play with it.
6. To avoid dangerous overheating, fully unwind the power cord.
7. Do not attempt to replace the power cord. If the cord is damaged and needs replacing, contact an authorised
service centre.
8. The electrical safety of this appliance can be guaranteed only if it is correctly connected to an efficient earth circuit
as indicated by current electrical safety regulations. It is necessary to check this fundamental safety precaution,
and if in doubt, ask a professionally qualified technician to check the circuit. The manufacturer declines all
responsibility for any damage caused by failure to earth the equipment.
9. Check that when the iron is positioned on the iron-rest, the same is resting on a stable surface. The steam iron
must always be used and rested on a stable surface. If the steam iron falls and there are clear signs of damage or
water leaks, do not use the appliance.
Specifically:
DO NOT let children or incapable persons use the appliance without supervision.
NEVERimmerse the iron, cord or plug in any liquid.
DO NOT leave the hot iron touching fabrics or very inflammable surfaces.
DO NOT leave the appliance on for any reason. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
NEVERtouch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
DO NOT use the appliance with bare feet.
DO NOT tug the power cord or the appliance in order to pull the plug out of the socket.
DO NOT leave the appliance exposed to the elements (rain, sun, etc.).
DO NOT leave the iron unattended when it is connected to the power supply.
DO NOT fill the tank with water before removing the plug from the socket.
This product complies with EU Directive 2002/96/EC.
