5.3 Notes on operation

Switch-on delays
When operating in the "Standby" setting, small delays may occur when consumer
devices are switched on.
These delays are design-related and do not signify a fault.
Noise emission
• The inverter has a fan that automatically switches on when the device heats
up, e.g. in high ambient temperatures or long-term heavy loads. The fan
switches off again as soon as the device has stopped generating excessive
heat.
• When the load changes, e.g. when a larger consumer device is switched on,
a buzzing sound may be heard from the device. This sound is design-related
and is not a safety problem.

Safety cut-out

Some consumer devices, e.g. refrigerators and motors, consume many times the
rated power specified on their type plate when switched on. If, in this case, the
peak load of the inverter is exceeded, a safety cut-out occurs.
Switch off all consumer devices.
X
First switch on the consumer device with the largest switch-on power
X
requirement.
Once the first consumer device is running normally, the other consumer
X
devices can be switched on again.
If a safety cut-out still occurs when following this procedure, the power
X
consumption of the first device is too large for this inverter.
Deep discharge protection
The inverter protects the battery from deep discharge. With low battery volt-
age, the inverter switches itself off and the connected consumer devices are no
longer supplied with electricity. The switch-off threshold is current-compensated.
This means that large consumer devices that require large amounts of electricity
are switched off when the battery voltage is around 10.5 V, while small con-
sumer devices that use small amounts of electricity from the battery are already
switched off at around 11 V.
Increasing the power supply or adding consumer devices
When the power supply has been increased or consumer devices have been
added to the local off-grid system, the switch-on threshold previously set may
no longer optimally match the consumer device requirements.
Re-adjust the switch-on threshold in the modified system (see chapter 5.2).
